A Japanese sword

The general term of the swords that the Japanese sword (nihonto) was made by a manufacturing process peculiar to Japan. The swords were made in Japan from Burial Mound age, but generally the thing called a Japanese sword appears in last years in the Heian era and puts the mainstream and the sword which curved that it was it after it. It is classified in a sword (a sword / a long sword), a short sword (a short sword), a knife by dimensions. A wide sense contains a long volume, a Japanese halberd, a sword, the spearmanship, too.

The person of the job to make a sword is called "a swordmaker", "a swordsmith", "a swordsmith".
